I began so ready, to journey with you..
For such a special person, still more lay inside of you.
When I caught my first glance I was hooked..I knew..
From inside of you, you could summon beautiful creatures
With simple words you could heal my wounds..
Going along with you on your journey..The narrow path you walked
Sometimes it found you on a gurney, sometimes it had you blocked
But together we answered questions, that were deep in our hearts
We worked past the limitations, minding that we had our seperate parts
I saw you do a dance of death, saw it bring about new life
It almost took away my breath, seeing such animation in the strife
The pyreflies had a special feel, and around you they gathered,
Hard to believe it could be so real, yet you would not be bothered

As the days pass and I work to do my job
Sin prevails and many lives, it does rob
I have to watch this dance again, wonder how you find a smile
As the gravity of it all sets in, I stop to watch a while
I know now, that until the end, I will help you bear the burden
There's still much more, though we've come so far, this mess we're in
As I learned wherein my troubles are, and my very blood runs thin
We visit more temples every day, befriend more beasts along the way
So strange how you need only say, 'Come' and they are on their way
We're learning truths perhaps we shouldn't know, and I'm realizing how far I'd like to go
Thinking of how I hate to see you frown, and yet, how my world is upside down
If you're in trouble, just blow this whistle, and I'll come no matter what

Finally, we meet in an embrace, in a place of sacred grace
Troubled look upon your face, will you finish, this chosen race?
We've come so far, we realize the perils we will face.
With you by my side, a love one can't replace.
But what's this now, is our destination my old home?

It now seems we will have to fight, against those we have held so high
Lady Yunalesca, the very first, whom gave her life so Sin would die.
Oh to work so hard, to feel such woe, only to know that it's a lie!
And that it couldn't stop there, I'll defeat my father and then cry.
And then to see the one who brought me here, wait patiently as he dies!
Finally sending those beasts you loved os much to Heaven
So that we could defeat that awful being Yevon
It seemed the terror laid in me, of the fayth and their dream.
I've kept my promise, now I must go too..but all is not lost, for the dream and I will stay with you..
