Slither shadow, slither...
The only thing more mysterious
than where you'll go is
where you're coming from--
concrete, metaphysical,
spiritual, emotional?
If only the eye of the
beholder could know.
Contract, shadow, expand,
form around a bedpost,
a window, the corners
of my mind--unspoken
thoughts have their shadows
too: harmful, hopeful,
opportunity knocks or
wanes. Which one is it?
Rithe, shadow contrive...
The only thing more powerful
than your existence is
what you spark inside--
Hope, wonder, fear, blunder?
What is it I really see here?
What debate shall it spark?
Pathos, Mythos, Ethos, Logos?
Whatever manners you contain,
shadow--whatever instruments
or beings you collapse upon,
their current state of affairs
is questioned--or at least
commented upon. So that as
I stand I am encased in shadow,
in which state do I now belong?
